Wave Race 64 Memories: Jeremy"Water is wet." I loved everything about Wave Race 64. It was a great game. I loved getting top times and beating scores. Nintendo Power always ran competitions and I would always work hard to make it into the magazine. I made it in twice. This may sound weird, but Wave Race 64 gave me an obsession with water. At the end, when you type in your initials, you get to play with amazing water effects. Everything you do influences the waves. It's very realistic. How did they do that? To this day I don't know. No one in the computer profession can explain it to me. It's just so real. After that, I started taking baths instead of showers. I played with the water. I fell in love with how water moves and how I can influence it. I got a bowl of water and used food coloring to make it blue like Twilight City. I put spotlights on it and played with it while I filmed it. It's still not as cool as the water in Wave Race 64. Now I have a swimming pool and I like to get cool lights for it so I can swim at night and play in the water. I get red and yellow spotlights like Twilight City. I freeze ice and put it in the pool like Glacier Coast. I bought two jet ski figures at a "dime store" replica and I play with them in the pool when no one else is home. Wave Race 64 started a very unhealthy obsession. |
